So this is what Gerry put up on her myspace blog yesterday!

Hey there!I'm back from Washington, D.C., tired but jazzed. I loved meeting fellow authors and fans that bought my book at the literacy signing. It was so cool. I also met with my editor. We talked about changing the covers on the Glory books.

What makes you pick up a book? The romance buyer at Borders insists that romance readers still love the hunk covers. You know, the guy without a shirt and ripped abs. I admit, he does make me stop and look. But does he make me BUY the book? Usually it's the title and the back cover blurb that has to intrigue me enough to head to the register.  So far, all my Glory books have had a similar look, on purpose. You know when you see them that these are going to be fun reads(I hope!). The titles too should at least make you giggle. So would the hot guy do that for you?

This is important. Now the February cover is already done. It's the cute thing again, Glory with Valdez. But this is for the one in November, 2010. Title's still being discussed, but we're thinking maybe torso, no shirt for the guy, low rise jeans with a bat belt buckle. Darker color in the background. I don't know. Are there too many of those out there already? I'm perplexed. I need your thoughts. You are the ones who pay your hard earned dollars to read these things. Maybe the cover isn't that important to you, because, thank goodness, I've got you here which means I've hooked you a little bit already. Yay! But if you'd never heard of the series...

Think about it, get back to me. I want to hear from you. Oh, and keep checking out the new fan sites, both here on Myspace and on the web. Dani and Heather are busy creating new stuff for you to enjoy. From the questions of the day to a recipe for Blueberry spaghetti(huh?). Remember, I write fiction, people. Anyway, it's all fun.

Love ya all!
Gerry/Glory

Anyone else out there peeved that Border's is trying to make everyone a cookie cutter shape!  I swear If this was my book I would make it some abnormal shape That wouldn't fit on the shelf right! What makes them think that all women want to see is a hunky male body!  I bet it was a MAN that said this! Just like it was a Man that made a Bra!!!  I don't get it at all!!! Let's all go buy our books from amazon!  I mean don't get me wrong if the cover did change I would still buy the book to read but I would have to make a book cover of my own to paste to it because it just wouldn't be the same!  They did the same thing with the Undead series! After so many books they got to her and she changed the cover! Just wasn't the same! With cartoons you can still have a choice of what someone looks like in your head but you put a real person on the front then that is what you think about!  It happened with Twilight! Edward now looks like RPattz to me now! Not that it is a bad image but I like the images in my head of the men in Glory's life and I would like to keep it that way! What do you think?Dani

Well, you have to keep in mind w/the characters you have to know that when they make a movie or a tv show your idea of who they look like is going to go out the window. If they ever did make a movie or series about Real Vampires our perception would change... just like Twilight and even True Blood... but that's the problem a lot of time when you give someone casting rights and they have no idea what they are talking about. Just like when they wrote the first script of Twilight... Bella was a track star... I mean come on.

The perfect person to have a say in casting, covers, etc is the author. Because only they can tell you what someone really looks like (at least in their head)

But, I do not want them to change the covers of the Real Vamp series. It's why I bought the book in the first place. The fun cover and the title. =)

Please keep the covers as they are now. That is what caught my eye in the first place to pick up the book to see what it was about along with the title and it was about a vampire with CURVES..WOW something different! I had to buy it. Then I saw it was in Austin my hometown even better! I purchased the first book that day and in less than a week I had read all the other books and am now awaiting the next book. I love the Glory series and thank goodness for Gerry sharing her with us all.

I picked up "Real Vampires Have Curves" off the shelf because the cover was so different, it actually stood out from the rest of the books. Once I looked at the cover and title I knew this was the book for me. The cover and title with your writing blend so perfect making your books an all one package.
I also have read the Undead series and they changed the covers on the last two books. I actually had to read the first few pages to make sure it was the right book.(Thought the Borders guy was lying to me. hehehe.)
I am looking forword to giggling out loud again when the next two books come out (Glory at the Grammy's should be good)and I hope it's with the cover I've grown to love.

Gerry, I love all of Glory's adventures and I just want to say thank you for inviting us on the ride.

The cover does what you want it to. The first time I saw it I thought "That looks like a fun girly book" I love the covers and putting another naked man chest on the cover would make people walk away. There are far to many harlequin romance books out there and that is NOT what your books are about, had there been a man I would have not picked it up. The covers are great as was your first instinct don't change a thing!

OMG! Please say it isn't so! I LOVE the covers of Glory's books! It's cute and funny and makes me smile! I really despise the hunk covers... it's so lame! If I wanted to see a guy with muscles taking off his shirt I would simply go to a strip club or something. Or the gym! Please please please tell me that they haven't decided on changing the covers! I think we should start a movement or something to keep the cute covers! It was what made me look at the books on the first place.
